My name is Tim Jumper and I serve as Polemarch for the Tacoma Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. On behalf of my Chapter Members, it is my distinct honor and pleasure to welcome you to our virtual home.
As a chapter, we are committed to upholding our motto, “Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor”. Our ten illustrious founders believed the key to success was not only through high academic performance across college campuses: but also, through personal, social, and communal achievements throughout all aspects of life. We are more than just a social fraternity. Our mission is to provide community service, inspire youth development and train for leadership, while fostering an environment of achievement among our members and community.
Additionally, we proactively seek to recruit, reclaim and retain brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. In order to maintain the continued progress of the chapter, we invite any brother in the Tacoma area to return to active membership status and join us at our monthly chapter meetings.
We encourage all visitors to explore our website to find out more about who we are and what we do. We are grateful for your interest and solicit your support of our philanthropic and civic efforts. We sincerely hope you are interested in being a part of our dynamic organization- whether as a member, a project partner, a corporate sponsor or friend. Thank you in advance!
Yours in service,
Tim Jumper

Tacoma Alumni Charter Members:
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated began its official presence in the Pacific Northwest when The Gamma Eta Chapter was chartered in May 1948 on the campus of University of Washington, Seattle Washington. Gamma Eta was chartered with the authority to accept undergraduate and graduate students regardless of race, ethnicity, or religious background, and to accept students from surrounding accredited colleges. This fact still remains.
The Seattle Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi was chartered in April 1954. The Seattle Alumni Chapter allowed for college graduates to become new initiates along with current members of Kappa Alpha Psi to become associated with other members of Kappa Alpha Psi. Seattle Alumni had members from the Puget Sound area, including Brothers from the Tacoma/Pierce County region. As the membership ranks grew in the Tacoma/Pierce County area, it became apparent that an Alumni Chapter should be started to serve these members and the community. On July 27, 1985, The Tacoma Alumni Chapter was chartered.
Presently, Tacoma Alumni serves the Tacoma/Pierce County area through many social and community-based events. Scholarships for high school seniors, mentoring youth, fund raising for those in need, support for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shop with a Kappa and participation with The Tacoma National Panhellenic Council are all a part of its activities. Tacoma Alumni is also recognized as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Tacoma has hosted C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conferences, Founders Day Banquets, Black and White Formals, the Western Province Golden Anniversary Council Meeting (1997), and the 68th Province Council Meeting, March 2015.
We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our community. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. Using data driven models, we provide solutions that make a long-lasting connection....
Your giving will enable us to meet our goals and improve societal conditions within our community. Your generous giving will fund our mission.
